Q. How much do they cost ?
A. This depends on the size of your pool. Call us for a quote.
Q. Are they available in my state ?
A. We ship Australia-wide and even overseas.
Q. I would prefer someone to install it for me. Is this possible ?
A. It certainly is. We have qualified and experienced installers in most states.
Q. I am quite a handyman and would like to install it myself. Is this ok ?
A. Absolutely. Full easy-to-follow instructions are supplied with every Solardome kit.
Q. Will assembling it myself affect the warranty ?
A. No. Both frame and cover have a full 1 year warranty.
Q. What sort of warranty do they have ?
A. A full one year parts and labour warranty.
Q. Do they rust at all ?
A. Not at all ! We use either anodised aluminium or stainless steel to ensure this.
Q. Will the cover fade or crack ?
A. The covers are not particularly prone to fading or cracking.
Q. How long is it likely to last ?
A. The covers last 7 to 10 years on average, the frames 20 years plus.
Q. Do they have or need council approval ?
A. Solardomes do not need council approval.
Q. Are they resistant to strong winds or gales ?
A. They are very resistant !
Q. How much warmer do they make the pool ?
A. Typically 4 to 6 degrees Celsius.
Q. Does the cover filter out UV ?
A. The cover will reduce UV levels quite significantly.
Q. Will they get too hot in summertime ?
A. Solardomes have large openings at each end along with smaller vent flaps.
Q. Do I still need to have a pool fence ?
A.Yes ! It is a council requirement in all states.
Q. Can I use a Solardome for anything else ?
A. You sure can ! Spa covers and hot houses are just some possibilities.
